The KAT Carriage is a service that allows for more flexible transportation
for groups of elderly and/or disabled.

KAT Carriage Policies - 5310 Transportation
Kandiyohi Area Transit will provide bus service outside normal public transit operating hours for agency sponsored transportation for Disabled and Elderly participants in Kandiyohi County. Groups of elderly and/or disabled will be charged a per hour rate for actual transit time. Transit time includes pick up/loading time, travel time to the destination, and the drop off/unloading time. The return trip will be handled in the same manner. There will be a 30 minute minimum charge. Total billing will be rounded to the nearest 1⁄4 of an hour.

Features:

· Flexible scheduling - call KAT with the date and times you would like to schedule your group outing for. (The service is on a first come, first serve basis).
· Flexible passenger seating - there are spaces for 6 wheel chairs or 16 passengers but many combinations of both types of seating can be used to meet your needs. An example of this flexibility would be The KAT Carriage could fit 3 wheel chair passengers and 8 seated passengers at one time.
